April Date Night In Box (Faith): Let Love Grow

Last month we had a blast reliving our childhood with our Date Night In Box (check out all the fun we had here), and this month it was all about growing our future! We absolutely loved this month’s just as much. We have been doing the Faith box for awhile now, and if you’ve read any of my previous Date Night In Box posts you know it’s one of our favorite parts. Our values have always been one of the biggest things we have in common. We go to church in my husband’s childhood church – currently four generations go there!! My husband has been on the church counsel and…

March Date Night In Box: Throwback

… Oh yes it’s 80’s night .. cue the music in your head! LOL. Maybe it’s because it took my hubby and I back to our childhood or maybe it’s because we had so much fun during our date night in .. but this month’s theme may just be my absolute favorite! It brought up so many memories from the late 80’s and 90’s for us!! We seriously laughed so much during this date night! We started with eating the Poprocks because um only the best fun candy ever lol. While enjoying them we did the table talk section titled, “Whatchu Talkin’ Bout Willis”. The only question we didn’t know…

January’s Faith Night In Box: Foundation of Love

We had planned on an evening a week ago to have our date night in after the kiddos went to bed. I even made the dinner recommended this time (which was AMAZING!!). However, right after dinner our oldest came down with a fever and wanted nothing but cuddles with momma, so our date night was put on hold. #reallife !! BUT the bonus was that because it was at our house, we could finish it anytime we wanted!! Which that is exactly what we did. This dinner was my favorite menu by far, which is probably the reason why I made it for the whole family! The ground chicken had…

    Mr. & Mrs. Swanson: 12-8-18

On a beautiful, chilly yet sunny, winter day Courtney and Kyler got married in such a beautiful place. Engelbrecht Farm was where this beautiful couple got engaged, and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas time with twinkling lights and all on their special day. It was exactly what the bride wanted.  There was even a little snow on the ground!! Photographing couples that I have been able to get to know throughout the years is such a blessing, and dare I say a bit more sweeter. I have gotten to know them over the past years. I have done all family photos of the brides, and I did the couple’s…

Date Night In Box: December Faith Box

This month’s Date Night In Box was a winter wonderland theme! It was filled with so much fun for our evening in, and I loved that it wasn’t just Christmas themed! With all the craziness of the holidays, it was so nice to just sit down together and reconnect for a couple of hours. This month’s box was the perfect way to do just that. First, I made these adorable treats before he got home. He’s not one to spend time in the kitchen, so I just did them so they were ready for our date night after the kiddos went to bed. They were so cute and adorable and…

    Mr. and Mrs. Jamison: 12-15-18

On a chilly winter evening in front of their closest family and friends, Dusten and Jenny became Mr. and Mrs. Jamison. It was breathtaking, romantic, and charming. There was laughter .. there were tears – by the bride and groom, the bridal party, and …. by me! As I was snapping the beautiful ceremony I had tears streaming down my cheeks. So emotional, so sweet, so beautiful. From the moment Jenny’s boy’s saw her in her wedding dress, to the giant smile on Dusten’s face when he first saw Jenny, to the joyful tears shed during their own vows, joy and love was evident at every turned. The love these…

Faith Night In November Box: Give Thanks

Partnering with Night In Boxes has been so fun for the past few months, and this month was no different! Life has been a bit crazy, but on my birthday we sat down for a couple of hours of fun! AND this box may just be my absolute favorite so far, just for the theme! We were able to go out for my birthday dinner, so we didn’t do the actual meal planned. BUT we saved one activity, homemade ice cream, for our dessert during our date! We were able to enjoy it during our Faith Discussion guide. This is the second month we’ve tried the Faith in Box, and…

Date Night In Faith Option October Box Review

Date Night In Boxes When our box arrived on our porch our oldest daughter who is 4 exclaimed, “Mom, it’s another date night box! I wonder what you and daddy are going to be doing for your date!” Y’all, as if I need another amazing reason to continue date night in boxes because they’re are seriously amazing just because, but our daughter notices! It’s so important to set an example for our kids to see that we spend quality time together just mommy and daddy. It shows them we love each other, and it sets expectations for their future relationships! I LOVE that she sees it and gets just as excited…

    A Night in Indy

At the beginning of the summer I asked my hubby to think of one thing he would really want to do. Basically I told him to think of his ultimate dream date … within reason. I’m sure we’d all love to be whisked away to Italy for a romantic date night, but that’s not possible for us. LOL. I had to come up with mine as well. (I’ll be sharing that one later!!) He actually surprised me with his; he wanted a night away to Indianapolis! The two main reasons for Indy: 1. It has Howl at the Moon (my hubby’s all time favorite place for a fun night out!)…

    It’s the Little Things

The other day my husband came home and surprised me. It wasn’t anything crazy or big, and it literally was free. BUT HE THOUGHT OF ME … and it was very evident that he had. You see he brought home a book from me. He had gone to the local radio station to do an ad for work that day. They had a table of books they were giving away for free. He knows I love reading, and took the time to look for one he thought I might like. My sweet hubby came home and I quote said, “So, I got you something, but I don’t know if you’ll…
