Family Themed Halloween Costume Ideas

I have always loved dressing up for Halloween. Before kiddos, I would dress up to pass out candy and tell my students to stop by to see what costume it would be. (They of course loved it!!) It’s just so fun, and I’ve passed the fun on to my family! Our oldest is getting to the age where she wants to be involved in the planning with me. It’s family fun and bonding… win win!! When picking a theme I tend to either go with something my kiddos like or something that would work well for our time in life. For example, when I was pregnant I used my belly as part of the family costume. I have also done easy DIY ones which can add to the fun! 🙂

Since Halloween is this week I thought I’d share some of our past family themed costumes, and a couple of our adult ones for our adult parties! I’ll also be sharing later this week our costumes on my Instagram and Facebook accounts! This year is the first year we aren’t all dressed as a whole them. Our almost 5 year old wanted to do something from an older movie while our 2 year old is still into princesses! So I am dressing up with our almost 5 year old and Daddy is dressing up with our 2 year old… I’m sad that we probably won’t have all family themes anymore, but love that she has a mind of her own! She even picked out mine for this year …. I can’t wait! 🙂

Our first family Halloween.. she was a cupcake and we were the bakers 🙂
Our second family Halloween – Baby was Boo, Daddy was Sully, and Momma / preggers belly was Mike Wazowski

Our third – Lions, and tigers, and bears, Oh My! 🙂
Our youngest made the cutest little lion lol
Last year’s costume – Little Mermaid, Flounder, Prince Eric, and Sebastian

And here are two of our adult costumes 🙂

Milkman and the Housewife he knocked up hahahaha
Cookie Monster and his cookies 😉

What are some of your family costumes? I would love to see them!!

Much love,

Chef Charley
