My Start to a Healthier Me !!!

Okay y’all. I started taking conscience steps for a healthier me last week. I started eating healthier, exercising, and taking amazing supplements. I am only down a pound, but feel amazing. …. Let me try that again. I AM DOWN A POUND! I may have expected to lose a few more than just one pound, BUT that’s a ok! One pound is one pound closer to my goal! I also wasn’t super strict this weekend … it’s all about 80/20 am I right?! Plus, I want to enjoy life as well!

And besides, there are so many other benefits I’m having from choosing a healthier lifestyle! Choosing to workout, eat healthier foods, and take amazing supplements has given me so much energy and my mood is fantastic! Seriously, I don’t feel sluggish, and I’m able to do two workouts if I need to split my run up from my strength training. (I have to go to my in laws on running days right now because it’s too cold outside!! Once it’s warm enough I won’t have to do two separate sessions!) I’ve had several people ask how I lost 50 pounds a couple of years ago (I’ll post more in depth detail about that later) and a few people have asked me about what I’m doing now. So, I decided to share my first week back at it. I didn’t follow it as strictly as I did two years ago (i.e. my sugar and carb in take is a little higher on some days). The key is to lower your amount of processed sugar and carbs…. but I’m also about balance!!!  Below I’ve outlined what I ate and did each day for the week.

Monday

Food:

  • Drank pink drink and took Metaburn supplement first thing
  • Breakfast – protein shake with spinach – YUM!
  • Lunch – Roasted broccoli, sweet potatoes, and chicken sausage salad with feta
  • Snack -small protein shake
  • Dinner – Mexican tilapia, cauliflower rice, and broccoli
  • Snack – ¼ cup cottage cheese
  • Exercise
  • 20 minute upper body workout
  • Ran 2 miles

Tuesday

Food:

  • Drank pink drink and took Metaburn supplement first thing
  • Breakfast – protein pancakes with raspberries and blueberries
  • Lunch – Leftover chicken sausage and added sauteed peppers and mushrooms with blue corn chips
  • Snack -pita crackers and cheese
  • Dinner – leftover mexican tilapia, cauliflower rice, and broccoli
  • Snack – hot teaExercise
  • yoga

Wednesday

Food:

  • Drank pink drink and took Metaburn supplement first thing
  • Breakfast – protein shake with spinach
  • Lunch – Roasted broccoli, brussel sprouts, and chicken sausage and feta
  • Snack -slice of Ezekial bread toast topped with cottage and chia seeds
  • Dinner – chicken tacos with blue corn chips
  • Snack – almonds and blueberriesExercise
  • 20 minute upper body workout
  • Ran 2 miles

Thursday

Food:

  • Drank pink drink and took Metaburn supplement first thing
  • Breakfast – protein shake with spinach
  • Lunch – Leftover chicken taco salad with blue corn chips
  • Snack -pita chips and cheese
  • Dinner – chicken, broccoli, and mushrooms
  • Snack – ¼ cup cottage cheeseExercise
  • I cleaned houses for 4 hours !! That’s a workout lol

Friday

Food:

  • Drank pink drink and took Metaburn supplement first thing
  • Breakfast – protein shake with spinach
  • Lunch – leftover chicken, broccoli, and mushrooms with added peppered bacon
  • Snack -none …
  • Dinner – cheat night out – fish tacos and a shared handdipped hot fudge shake … I go all out lolExercise
  • 20 minute upper body workout
  • Ran 2 miles

Saturday

Food:

  • Drank pink drink and took Metaburn supplement first thing
  • Breakfast -Ezekial muffin egg white sandwich
  • Lunch – Brussel sprout, sliced apple, and Havarti cheese melt on Ezekial bread
  • Snack -none
  • Dinner – …. cheat night again lol … Monicals pizza
  • Snack – noneExercise
  • Played in the snow with the family … and I say getting the kiddos dressed and undressed in snow gear is a workout in itself lol

Sunday

Food:

  • Drank pink drink and took Metaburn supplement first thing
  • Breakfast – protein shake with spinach
  • Lunch – slice of Ezekial bread toasted with cottage cheese and chia seeds
  • Snack -pita crackers and cheese
  • Dinner – kids cheeseburger from Hardee’s (because apparently this weekend we ate out each night lol)
  • Snack – hot teaExercise
  • Yoga

*I also drink around 80 or so ounces of water a day!

    Your Roasted broccoli and sweet potatoes with chicken sausage and feta, looks delicious!!!! I like your 80/20 rule, that sounds like something I could follow. You have to give yourself grace, right?!
